Terms of Service
Last updated 29 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Crib Club at cribclub.co.uk. Crib Club is run by Oarsman Software Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16652196, registered office Unit 82a, James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St. Edmunds, England, IP28 7DE. You can contact us at hello@cribclub.co.uk.
- Two-player games are free. Membership, at 75p a month or £5 a year, adds three- and four-player games, chat and clubs. You can cancel any time, and have a full refund within 14 days of paying.
- Crib Club is for playing for fun. Don't use it to gamble.
- Play fair, and be decent in chat.
- Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.

1. Accounts
- You register with a username, a name to play under and a password. You must be 13 or over to have an account, and 18 or over to buy a membership.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your login.
- Your name at the table is shown to other players. Don't use one that's offensive or that pretends to be someone else.
2. Free play and membership
- Free accounts can open and play at two-player tables, and watch any table.
- Membership adds three- and four-player tables, chatting with the other players at your table, and clubs. It costs 75p a month or £5 a year, or the price shown at checkout if that's different.
- Membership is a subscription. It renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the Membership page, and your membership carries on until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Payments are taken by our payment provider, Stripe, on its own checkout page. We never see your card details.
- When a membership ends, you can finish any game you're already sitting in, but you can't take a new seat at a three- or four-player table, chat, or open your clubs. Your clubs and their results are kept, and are there again if you rejoin.
- We sometimes give free membership, for example to club organisers. It lasts for the time we tell you, and we can end it early.
- We may change what free accounts include, or the price of membership. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your membership, so you can cancel first if you want to.
3. Refunds
- If you change your mind, email hello@cribclub.co.uk within 14 days of any payment and we'll refund that payment in full, even if you've already used your membership. Your membership then ends.
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Banks usually take 5 to 10 working days to show them.
- After 14 days, payments aren't refundable unless Crib Club hasn't worked as described, or the law gives you a right to a refund. If something's gone wrong, tell us and we'll put it right.
4. Playing for fun
Crib Club counts points, not money. Don't use it to gamble, or to settle bets for money or anything else of value. Games, scores and results on Crib Club have no cash value.
5. Chat and your content
- "Your content" means the names, chat messages, table names, and club details, logos, members and results you add.
- You keep ownership of it. You give us permission to store, copy and display it, free of charge, for as long as we need to run Crib Club.
- Chat isn't private. Everyone at the table can read it, including people watching without a seat. Don't share anything personal there.
- Our admins can remove chat messages, and turn off chat for an account that misuses it.
6. Clubs
- Anyone with a membership can start a club, and becomes its manager. Managers are responsible for what's on their club's pages.
- Managers can add members who don't use Crib Club, by name, and record their results. Only add people who are happy to be on the club's list, and record results accurately.
- A club's pages are only shown to its members. Our admins can also see and manage every club, to deal with problems.
- When you leave a club, its records keep your name and results, because they're part of the club's history. Ask the club's manager, or us, if you want them changed.
7. Rules
Don't use Crib Club to:
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- cheat, for example by watching a game you're playing in from a second account, or by sharing cards with another player;
- post anything hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual, violent or defamatory;
- publish someone's personal information without their permission;
- upload a logo or anything else you don't have the right to use;
- pretend to be someone else;
- get into accounts that aren't yours, get around our payment system, or test, overload or attack the service;
- play or collect data using automated tools.
We may remove content, end a game, or suspend or delete an account that breaks these rules. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close an account for a serious or repeated breach, we won't refund the rest of its membership, except where the law requires us to.
8. Availability and changes
- We work to keep Crib Club running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of faults, and we sometimes need to take it offline for maintenance. A game in progress normally carries on where it left off.
- We may change or improve Crib Club's features over time.
- If we ever close Crib Club, we'll give at least 30 days' notice on the site and refund the unused part of any membership.
9. Ending your use
- To close your account, email hello@cribclub.co.uk. We'll cancel any membership, free your seats, and close any game you're playing in, since it can't finish without you. Your chat messages are deleted.
- Club records keep your name and results, as in section 6, unless you ask us to remove them.
10. Our responsibility to you
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
- If you're using Crib Club personally, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We aren't responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable.
- If you're using Crib Club for a club, business or other organisation, our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in those 12 months, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of data.
- We aren't responsible for what other people say in chat or put on club pages, or for whether club results are accurate.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the date at the top will change. If a change significantly affects you, we'll show a notice on the site at least 14 days before it applies. If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using Crib Club, and we'll refund the unused part of any membership.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
